Miri Parliamentary Service Center Organizes Mobile Service Counter

Published at Mar 25, 2025 02:41 pm
(Miri, 25th) Miri MP Chiew Choon Man and the Miri Parliamentary Service Center team recently set up a mobile service counter in Mosjaya to reach out to the public and understand the issues faced by the people of Miri. This initiative is an important measure to ensure that all social strata can access the necessary assistance and services without barriers.

Chiew Choon Man stated that as the MP for Miri, he places great importance on the welfare of the people and believes that such programs play a crucial role in providing services directly to those in need. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for me to listen to the grassroots' opinions on various government issues and policies.

"The program was warmly welcomed, and on the day, more than 100 citizens came to our counter to make various inquiries, applications, complaints, and suggestions. These included providing consultancy services on applying for welfare, food, and housing assistance from various government agencies; registration and review for STR, MyKasih, Sarawak SKAS, and submitting complaints about public infrastructure to relevant agencies.

He said, I will continue to strive to ensure that the Miri Parliamentary Service Center mobile service counter can continue to be conducted at various locations in Miri, hoping that this project will bring great benefits to the people and help them better understand how to obtain government services.
