Miri Hospital Charity Run Celebrates 30 Years – Thousands Participate to Promote Healthy Living Spirit

(Miri, 2nd) Miri Hospital Director Dr. Huang Xiu Ru stated that the "Miri Hospital Charity Run" organized by the hospital reflects society's emphasis on healthy living and also symbolizes the hospital’s three-decade-long mission and spirit of serving the community and safeguarding health.
“Tonight is an inspiring moment. I want to extend my warmest congratulations to all runners participating in the ‘2025 Miri Hospital Charity Run’. Whether you are running, jogging, or walking, you are all winners today, because you have taken an important step towards pursuing a healthy lifestyle.”

Dr. Huang pointed out that this year's event carries extraordinary meaning, coinciding with the 30th anniversary celebration of Miri Hospital's founding. Over the past thirty years, Miri Hospital has not only expanded in scale and facilities, but has also continued to work tirelessly towards the mission of promoting a healthy society. This long-distance run perfectly showcases this spirit, enabling staff, patients, families, and the wider community to join hands in celebrating this milestone in an atmosphere of health, unity, and joy.
He especially thanked the organizing committee, sponsors, volunteers, and staff from various departments for their cooperation, which made the event a great success and fully reflected Miri Hospital’s team spirit and dedication.

Miri Hospital held a "5km Charity Run" in conjunction with its 30th anniversary celebration, receiving overwhelming support with 1,230 people enthusiastically signing up to participate. Sponsors for this event include Kin Ping Trading Sdn Bhd, China Harbour Engineering Company (CCCC), Miri Port Authority, Kennedy Electrical & Electronic Sdn Bhd, Midea Scott & English Sdn Bhd, Fox Sport Centre, Crumb Artisan Bakery & Café, and Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) & Picaso.

Dr. Huang also expressed his gratitude to the co-organizers, Rotary Club of Miri Oil Town and the Sarawak Bar Miri Branch.
