(Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 18th) The actress Nadia, who went missing during a layover in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, has been confirmed to have passed away due to heart disease.
Her 57-year-old husband, Professor Mohamad Kamarul, posted the news on Facebook this morning, stating that Nadia passed away at 8:07 a.m. on Thursday, the same day that she was reported missing.
"With deepest sorrow, I announce that my beloved wife Nadia peacefully passed away in Jeddah at 8:07 a.m. on January 15, 2026. May Allah grant her forgiveness."
Additionally, Nadia's daughter posted that the travel agency informed them of her mother's death at 11 p.m. last night.
"My mother died of heart disease. She was sent to the hospital after arriving at Jeddah airport. It wasn't until 11:10 tonight that the travel agency informed us of her condition."
Nadia was among 21 pilgrims participating in a mini-pilgrimage group tour—London–Paris—organized by a travel agency. They departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday.
She had notified her family that she arrived safely at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, but then lost contact with them and did not board the connecting flight to London.
