(City, 17th) The Information Bureau recently held an ASEAN awareness presentation for 129 seventh-grade students at Muda Hashim School.
As the secretariat of the ASEAN-Cultural and Information Committee (ASEAN-COCI), the Information Bureau continually promotes the ASEAN awareness presentation, aiming to deepen students' understanding of the ASEAN organization and expand their knowledge and awareness of regional cooperation, cultural exchange, and joint development.
Adi Iswandi, an official from the Bureau's International Affairs Unit, hosted the presentation. Those attending included the school’s vice-principal, Jabadah, and faculty members.
The presentation covered the core concepts of the ASEAN community, aligning with ASEAN's motto: “One Vision, One Identity, One Community.” The presentation not only instilled in students a sense of being part of the ASEAN community but also deepened their understanding of the organizational structure, functions, and aims of ASEAN.
Additionally, the activity emphasized cultivating students' patriotism and regional solidarity spirit, encouraging them to view their roles in national and regional development with a broader perspective and actively participate in building a future of unity, mutual support, and shared prosperity within ASEAN.
Finally, the organizers arranged a Q&A session to assess the students' understanding of the core of the ASEAN community. The activity concluded by awarding prizes to students who answered correctly during the Q&A session.
