The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) stated that the two Malaysian tourists injured in the bomb attack are not deterred by the incident and promise to visit Thailand again in the future.
On Tuesday (30th), the SBPAC posted on its official Facebook page saying that its secretary-general, Piyasiri Wattanawarangkul, visited the hospital at 6:30am (Thailand time) today to check on the two injured Malaysian tourists. Respecting the wishes of the injured, he personally escorted the two back to Malaysia for further treatment.
“During that time, Piyasiri personally coordinated with hospitals and immigration authorities in both Thailand and Malaysia to ensure the two injured victims could return to Malaysia smoothly.”
Additionally, the post states that the two tourists expressed their deep gratitude to Piyasiri for the attentive care from Thai people as well as the heartfelt appreciation for the comprehensive assistance and thoughtful support provided by the Thai government.

“They believe that the southern border region has pleasant weather, abundant delicious food, and the locals are very friendly. Furthermore, they also made an agreement with Piyasiri that next time they come to Thailand, they will have a meal together.”
Additionally, the post revealed that 45-year-old Abdul Rashalapi was severely injured in the bomb attack; he suffered lacerations to his forehead, head, and left hand, his left thigh was deformed, and he experienced chest tightness, but remained conscious.
“Doctors have already provided emergency care, fixed his leg with a plaster splint, and administered oxygen support. Medical assessment classified his injury severity as Level 4 (severe injury).”
As for 38-year-old Mohamad Yusri, his injuries included wounds to his right arm and left fingers, but he remained conscious.
