The Shipyard Culture is a key cultural icon in Fuzhou. In December last year, its modern industrial heritage sites were added to China's tentative World Heritage list, potentially becoming Fuzhou's first World Heritage site. This year, the Shipyard District will develop a multi-themed cultural and tourism complex and restore Shipyard buildings.
