Earlier, Eastweek Magazine revealed that 59-year-old Shirley Kwan was in critical condition and hospitalized, even needing to be sent to the ICU for emergency treatment. Her son Kwan Chun Yin, who was in the United States, immediately flew back to Hong Kong and, together with his grandfather, kept vigil at the hospital for days. During this time, the grandfather and grandson pair sat outside the ward, never leaving, both wearing anxious expressions and visibly worried. The latest issue of Eastweek Magazine has disclosed an update on Shirley Kwan’s condition.
According to sources, she has now passed the most dangerous stage and has been transferred from the ICU to the cardiac intensive care unit, where she still requires machine assistance and monitoring. Although the Kwan family remains tight-lipped about her condition, at least Kwan Chun Yin and Mr. Kwan (her father) have shown slight smiles, clearly indicating some improvement in her condition.
