13-year-old boy drowns and is found dead on the beach

(OYA, 28th) A 13-year-old boy is suspected to have drowned while swimming at the Kuala Oya beach, and his body was found yesterday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Center (PGO), they received an emergency call at 6:18 PM.
“When the Mukah Fire and Rescue Department (BBP Mukah) team arrived on the scene, villagers had already found the body of the drowned individual at 6:42 PM,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
He added that the body was found within about 500 meters from the last known drowning location and has been handed over to the police for further processing.
