(Miri 5th) Supp Miri Piasau Branch mobile service team launched mobile services this morning in the Miri Marina Bay commercial center to assist eligible citizens in applying for the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme (SKAS), Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits Scheme (SCHB), and Kenyalang Gold Card benefits.
Supp Miri Piasau Branch promotional secretary and Miri city councilor Tan Lek Jin stated that the mobile service team provided various assistance services for more than 50 people this morning, including applications and inquiries about the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme, Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits Scheme, and Kenyalang Gold Card cases.
He pointed out that the main goal of this mobile activity is to enable more Sarawak people to understand and smoothly apply for the welfare assistance plans launched by the Sarawak government for its people, including the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme, Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits Scheme, and Kenyalang Gold Card welfare programs.
He emphasized that applicants for the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme and other welfare must register for a Sarawak ID in advance. By registering for this Sarawak electronic service, citizens can apply more conveniently for assistance plans from the Sarawak government.
"The assistance funds issued by the Sarawak government for the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme are provided to beneficiaries through the Sarawak Pay electronic payment platform, thus reducing the cumbersome steps of the traditional application process and improving the efficiency of assistance fund distribution."
Tan Lek Jin said that the launch of the Sarawak Essential Needs Assistance Scheme aims to help low-income and vulnerable groups in Sarawak, while the Sarawak Senior Citizen Health Benefits Scheme and Kenyalang Gold Card benefit those over 60, providing necessary medical services for seniors.
"With this plan, the Sarawak government ensures that they can receive basic protection in life, reducing economic life pressure. The Sarawak government always pays attention to people's welfare, ensuring that every eligible group in need can obtain various necessary assistance."
He said that the Sarawak ID is not only a system for identity authentication but also a crucial tool for realizing digital government services. Through this system, Sarawak residents can apply online for various benefits and subsidies launched by the Sarawak government, avoiding traditional cumbersome procedures and long waiting times.
Tan Lek Jin mentioned that by using the Sarawak Pay platform, citizens can directly receive assistance funds provided by the Sarawak government, ensuring that the assistance can be quickly and safely distributed to every eligible applicant.
He hopes that Sarawak residents will register for a Sarawak ID, as this is not only a promotion of government welfare policies but also ensures, through a more efficient and convenient digital platform, that every Sarawak resident, especially vulnerable groups, can truly feel the care of the Sarawak government.
He stated that registering for a Sarawak ID is an important step for every Sarawak citizen to enjoy government welfare, and encourages all eligible Sarawak residents to complete their registration early to ensure timely access to welfare assistance plans offered by the government.
