(Miri, 5th) Miri St. Columba Primary School held a primary six graduation ceremony  yesterday.

Juan Ubi Representing Dato Penguang Manggil read a speech where he mentioned that the world is rapidly changing, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence technology, which presents students with more complex challenges. He urged students to work harder and maintain high enthusiasm for learning to ensure they hold an advantage in the competitive environment of the future.

He indicated that in the face of a volatile world and an era of rapid technological development, students must possess adaptability and focus on comprehensive development to meet future challenges.

“Today's students must work harder to keep up with the rapidly changing and highly competitive world. This requires close cooperation between parents and teachers to ensure our children are prepared for future challenges.”

He asserted the crucial role of parents in student education and encouraged them to pay more attention to their children’s learning growth and maintain close cooperation with teachers.

“The importance of sports and extracurricular activities for students' physical and mental development, considering sports not just as competition but as a key way to cultivate a healthy mind and body, which especially motivates students to compete actively, unlock their potential, and prevent them from engaging in unhealthy activities.”

He reminded students to stay away from negative influences, particularly drugs, and to cultivate good manners and moral integrity. Simultaneously, students should choose friends who can positively guide them, develop foresight, and avoid becoming excessively addicted to electronic devices, social media, or video games.”

This year, the school has a total of 112 primary six students graduating, and to support the school’s development, Penguang Manggil also allocated 5,000 ringgit to the St. Columba Primary School Parent-Teacher Association to promote the implementation of various school programs.
