(Mukah, 27th) During the "Ops Tapis Khas" operation conducted on Thursday (February 26), Mukah police arrested two men on suspicion of possessing drugs.
The Mukah District Police Chief, Wan Mohamad Ali Wan Malek, stated that the suspects, aged 29 and 37, were arrested at around 12:30 p.m. by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division.
He pointed out that the suspects were suspected of possessing drugs and have been taken to the Mukah District Police Headquarters for further investigation.
"Urine screening conducted on the two men showed positive results for amphetamine and methamphetamine," the statement read.
Background checks revealed that both suspects had no previous criminal or drug-related records.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
