(Kuching, 27th) — Renowned local charity organization 'Hope Place' recently received donated supplies worth a total of RM10,000 from long-term supporter Kaily Group, to assist vulnerable groups.
This donation includes specialized milk formula, adult diapers, and children’s milk powder, which were personally handed over by the group’s representative, Lau Hong Eng, to founder Kelvin Wan at their office on Jalan Nanass.
“We are very grateful for Kaily Group’s unwavering support over the years,” Hope Place said in a press release on Thursday.
The organization currently provides specialized milk formula and adult diapers to patients suffering from serious illnesses who are fully reliant on tube feeding for their daily nutrition.
“For tube-fed patients, such specialized formula is not a luxury, but a necessity, and is often their only source of nutrition,” the statement pointed out.
Each patient usually requires six to eight cans of specialized formula each month, which can be a heavy burden for families already managing medical expenses.
“This kind of formula is costly, making it difficult for many underprivileged families to afford, which is why ongoing support from the public and businesses is vital.”
Kaily Group has continuously supported Hope Place, strengthening a long-term partnership dedicated to alleviating the struggles of low-income families in Kuching and surrounding areas.
Hope Place stated that donations like this help ensure that assistance remains uninterrupted, which is of significant importance, especially for beneficiaries requiring long-term nutritional and medical supplies.
The organization also welcomes individuals and businesses to take part in its ongoing service programs and jointly care for Kuching’s disadvantaged communities.
Those wishing to donate can contact Hope Place (Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Kuching, PKHK) at 082-505987 or 013-5672775.
Donations can also be transferred directly to their Maybank account (MBB: 511289001160), or by using the Sarawak Pay or S PAY GLOBAL QR code via their official Facebook page.
