SOAS Bridge Maintenance Work Temporary Diversions to Ensure Smooth Traffic Flow

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) The Public Works Department (JKR) has announced that road resurfacing work will commence starting today (7 January 2026) along the Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge (Brunei–Muara direction) and will continue until the completion of the works.
The maintenance work will be carried out at multiple locations, specifically between BM 23.6km and BM 15.9km. Additional locations include T9.6km, T9.3km, and BM 26km, as indicated in the relevant map.
The works will be conducted in two separate time slots: some areas will undergo maintenance from 7:30am to 8:00pm, while other locations will see works from 7:30am until 5:30pm.
Accordingly, temporary diversion routes will be set up during the construction period to ensure smooth traffic flow. Bridge users are advised to remain vigilant at all times and to comply with traffic signs and the prescribed speed limits.
The public is also urged to plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience during the maintenance period.
