In Neijiang, Sichuan, China, a woman experienced nausea and vomiting after discovering a large amount of uncleaned feces in a roast whole lamb she had ordered from a restaurant. After enjoying the lamb at the restaurant with her family and packing up the leftovers to take home, she reheated it the next day. Upon eating, she noticed a strong foul odor coming from the tail section of the lamb, which became increasingly pungent.
According to a report by Jimu News, as she got closer to the lamb's tail, the smell intensified. Upon close inspection, she realized it was not the usual gamey smell of lamb, but a strong, putrid stench. She discovered a large amount of feces residue attached around the tail, dark in color and in stark contrast to the meat.
The woman exclaimed, "It was really disgusting," and promptly recorded a video as evidence.
Later, her elder sister negotiated with the restaurant on behalf of the family. The restaurant eventually agreed to compensate them 1,500 yuan (about 846 ringgit), but did not issue a public apology nor clarify whether they would review their hygiene practices or take corrective measures.
Many netizens believe that simply offering financial compensation is too perfunctory, questioning whether the restaurant truly values food safety.
