Former member of the British boy band 'One Direction', Liam Payne, fell to his death from a hotel balcony on the 3rd floor in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, at the age of 31. Rumors about the cause of his death have been rampant, with some suggesting he committed suicide by jumping. Local police have been investigating the cause of Liam's death but have yet to release any information. However, a recent development has emerged in the case. British media recently released CCTV screenshots from the hotel. The photos show Liam 'causing a scene' in the hotel lobby under the influence of drugs before being carried by three staff members into the elevator and taken to a room. Upon reaching the hotel room door, Liam continued to refuse to enter, and the staff forcibly pushed him inside and locked the door to prevent him from leaving. It is suspected that Liam's attempt to escape from the room via the balcony led to the fatal incident!
It is reported that Liam expressed to the hotel staff that he did not want to stay in the room and mentioned he would escape via the balcony. Afterwards, one of the staff members called the police, stating their concern that Liam might try to escape from the balcony and accidentally harm himself. When the police discovered Liam's body beside the pool, a mysterious brown bag was also found on the balcony of the 2nd floor. Inside the bag were pills and a bottle of alcohol, along with a note with the words 'for Liam.' It is believed that he first threw the bag down to the 2nd-floor balcony, then attempted to jump from the 3rd-floor balcony to the lower balcony and escape to the ground, resulting in his accidental fall.
It is also suggested that Liam was dissatisfied with being locked in the hotel room, as he had a similar experience during his time with One Direction when hotel staff had locked him in and prevented him from leaving. He had previously attempted to escape via a balcony. A similar situation reportedly occurred one month before his death.
