South Korean singer PSY's high-end villa located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, has been accused of unauthorized change of use and illegal additions, accumulating fines that led to a major controversy.
According to the latest report by 'Biz Korea,' PSY's high-end villa was complained about by nearby residents for illegal construction additions. After an investigation by the Yongsan District Office, a rectification notice was issued to him. It is reported that PSY did not comply in time and accumulated over a year's worth of fines, leading to a seizure in May this year. It is rumored that PSY cleared the fines at the end of last month, after which the seizure order was lifted, which prompted the dissatisfied neighbors to reveal the matter.
Regarding the uproar, his agency 'P Nation' responded that PSY had purchased the villa in 2008 and has been living there for 16 years without making any additions or changes in usage. They later discovered the complaint stemmed from illegal additions that occurred during the initial construction. 'Currently, PSY has reached an agreement with the residents and plans to hire a construction company to rectify the violations.'
