Annie Yi Talks About Protecting Her Son and Hopes to Sing On Stage with Harlem Yu

Taiwanese artist Annie Yi recently appeared on livestream together with her son Enli Yu, where she spoke about her ex-husband Harlem Yu's years of protecting their son, expressing her deep gratitude. She also revealed that in the future, if there was a chance, she would hope to appear together with Harlem Yu, serving as a backup singer for her son's musical performance.

In earlier years, when Annie Yi shared photos of her son, she always used back views or obscured his face. It wasn't until Enli Yu became an adult and could decide for himself that his full appearance was revealed to the public.

On a recent livestream, Annie Yi discussed this and used her underage daughter Mili as an example. She felt that even if you ask a child whether they are willing to appear online, the child might agree because they love or want to obey their mom, but young children may not truly understand the potential impact of their image being made public.

She also reflected that Harlem Yu was very cautious about protecting their son's privacy in the past. When taking their son out, he would deliberately press down his cap brim to avoid being photographed by the media.

Annie Yi especially thanked her ex-husband for his past protection of their son, joking: "You really have to thank your dad for that." Enli Yu also revealed that when he was younger and flying, his mother would have an assistant change all his clothes, and after getting off the plane, he would even disguise himself as "someone else's child" before being helped out of the airport by others.

When asked about the possibility of sharing a stage together with his father in the future, Annie Yi proposed that if there were a chance to hold an online concert for her son, Harlem Yu could be invited to join them, and the two could sing harmonies for their son.

Enli Yu was immediately excited after hearing this, saying that "the stream would blow up" and happily said: "I really wish for this!"

However, Annie Yi also admitted that actually making this happen might be difficult, since whether Harlem Yu would participate still depends on whether her ex-husband is willing.
