Big S's Inheritance Over 80 Million, Lawyer: 2/3 May Be Controlled by Wang Xiaofei

Big S (Xu Xiyuan) passed away due to influenza-induced pneumonia while traveling in Japan during the Lunar New Year, at the age of 48, shocking the entertainment industry. As for how the inheritance exceeding 600 million Taiwan dollars (approximately 81.2 million Malaysian ringgit) will be distributed? Taiwanese lawyer Lin Zhiqun stated that unless there is a will, the inheritance will be divided 1/3 each for the two children and Koo Jun-yup, but since the children's custody is with their father, 2/3 of the related inheritance may be controlled by their father Wang Xiaofei through guardianship.

Lin Zhiqun pointed out that the children's custody is with their father Wang Xiaofei, and stepfather Koo Jun-yup has not adopted them, he is just an in-law. Although the children's grandmother can claim the 'least disruptive principle' and the 'wishes of the minor children' to fight for custody change in an attempt to keep the children in Taiwan, the grandmother's priority is not higher than the father's, so it is possible for the children to be taken to China by their father, unless Wang Xiaofei agrees to relinquish custody.

Additionally, unless there is a will, the inheritance will be divided 1/3 each for the two children and Koo Jun-yup. However, since the children's custody is with their father, 2/3 of the related inheritance may be controlled by Wang Xiaofei through guardianship. Koo Jun-yup can consider requesting the division of surplus property, claiming to first obtain half of Big S's assets, which is actually 1/2 of the post-marriage property difference, and the remaining 1/2 is the inheritance, to be equally divided among the three heirs. However, since Koo Jun-yup and Big S were only married for three years, the amount he can request from the division of surplus property is likely not substantial.

S's Mother Reveals Daughter's Last Wish

After leaking the news and confirming the message, S's mother, who has always remained silent, spoke out for the first time through Xu family's close friend Wang Weizhong, "First of all, Mother Xu is very thankful for everyone's concern for Xiyuan. After Xiyuan passed away, the family was too heartbroken to answer concerned calls or explain the process to everyone, we apologize for that."
