Big S (Hsü Hsi-yuan) passed away at the age of 48 on the 2nd in a Tokyo hospital. Beside her were close family including her mother, two children, husband Koo Jun-yup, sister Little S (Hsü Hsi-tí), brother-in-law Mike Hsu, niece Lily, and nephew Xu Lao San, as well as her close friend Pace Wu. Wu, who had traveled from Hokkaido to meet up with them for sightseeing, didn't anticipate this meeting would turn into their final farewell. Wu Pace, in an interview with "Apple Daily News Network," was in tears, unable to bear the loss of a close friend of over 30 years, saying, "I will never forget Hsü Hsi-yuàn, who would always tell me she loved me at the end of every call."
Pace Wu, Big S, Little S, and Aya formed a close friendship during their time at Huagang Art School. Along with three other female classmates, they were nicknamed "Huagang Seven Fairies" and often were seen together. After entering the entertainment industry, they continued to support each other and became good friends with Barbie Hsu, Fan Wei-chi, and Makiyo.
Pace Wu tearfully revealed that she traveled from Hokkaido to Tokyo to meet up with Big S and others for sightseeing, only to witness the tragic sudden passing of Big S. She, along with Little S and others, cried together in the hospital, and the sorrow is still difficult to calm. She choked up as she said, "Accompanying the last journey of my life's love and best friend is truly heartbreaking. I will forever remember her kindness and beauty. I will never forget Hsü Hsi-yuàn, who would always tell me she loved me at the end of every call."
