Myanmar Military Cracks Down on Scam Syndicates, Explosions Frequently Heard at KK Park

Published at Oct 28, 2025 04:35 pm
The global scam hotspot 'KK Park' located in Myawaddy, Myanmar, has recently reported frequent explosions.

According to Thailand’s The Nation, at 5:25pm on the 26th, the Karen Border Guard Force (BGF), which is allied with the Myanmar military, detonated buildings related to scam activities inside KK Park. This marks the fourth wave of explosions since October 24, with all incidents occurring within 500 meters of the Thai-Myanmar border.

It is reported that metal fragments from the explosion site flew into Thailand, landing in the bathroom of a local residence and on the insulators of utility poles.

Meanwhile, Third Army Region Commander Lieutenant General Worathep stated that the explosions were demolition operations carried out by Myanmar ground forces, not drone attacks, and the site was about 500 meters from the border.

He said that the military has reassured villagers living along the border, and that everyone feels at ease.

He pointed out that ongoing raids by Myanmar could lead to an increase in the number of foreign nationals entering Thailand.

He confirmed that the military has prepared temporary shelters and will discuss management, legal procedures, and funding requirements with the National Security Council.

According to Thai statistics, as of the 27th, the number of foreign nationals crossing the Moei River to flee to Thailand has risen to 1,525, including Indians, Filipinos, Chinese, Vietnamese, and others.
