(Bangladesh, 12th) Continuous heavy rain in southeastern Bangladesh has triggered floods and landslides, resulting in at least 44 deaths and more than one million people trapped in disaster areas.

The Disaster Management Department stated on the 11th that seven regions, including Chittagong and Cox's Bazar, have been affected by floods, with over 260,000 households stranded.

Power outages, damaged roads, and disrupted communications have delayed rescue efforts. Homes submerged by floodwaters have left disaster victims unable to cook for days, with some residents struggling in kitchens and living rooms thickly coated in mud.

Currently, thousands of families can only rely on ready-to-eat dry food, such as dry rice, puffed rice, and biscuits as emergency provisions. Although the government and relief agencies are striving to provide emergency supplies, destroyed roads and bridges have made it difficult for relief materials to reach some of the disaster areas in time.
