Guangzhou Nansha Builds a New Global Cross-Border Trade Industry Ecosystem

On July 30th, the Global Cross-Border Trade Industry Cluster Zone Ecosystem Conference was held in Nansha, Guangzhou, China. Located at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Nansha boasts a natural deep-water port, with an annual container throughput exceeding 22 million TEUs. With over 180 foreign trade shipping routes reaching all over the world, it is one of the ports in China with the most routes to Belt and Road Initiative partner countries and regions.

At the conference, more than 1,200 entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts from the cross-border trade sector, including industry leaders such as Google, Midea, Guangzhou Port, and HSBC, gathered to discuss the grand vision for the cross-border trade ecosystem. The conference simultaneously launched the construction of a global cross-border trade industry cluster zone. Supporting ecosystem service platforms and the Guangdong Token (Chinese name: Yuanci) Trading and Service Center were unveiled at the same time, and a number of strategic cooperation projects were signed and settled.

This conference marks a key step in Guangzhou Nansha's transformation from a "cargo distribution hub" to a "comprehensive cross-border trade industrial chain ecosystem hub". Leveraging the "linkage of five ports," and integrating eight major services—customs, taxation, foreign exchange, financing, warehousing, certification, commerce, and logistics—Guangzhou Nansha is building an international trade closed-loop to "buy globally, sell globally, and connect globally," creating a demonstration model for domestic-international dual circulation in the Greater Bay Area.

Liu Zuoren, Director of Nansha Customs, stated that customs authorities actively support enterprises in applying for AEO certification and provide policy guidance services to import and export enterprises in Nansha. For enterprises obtaining AEO certification for the first time, Nansha offers a one-time reward of 200,000 RMB. As of the end of June 2026, Nansha has 91 AEO-certified enterprises, ranking first among the 11 districts of Guangzhou.
