Fire at Fuel Depot in Eastern Chad Injures Over 200

A fire broke out at a fuel depot in Abéché, the capital of Wadi Fira Province in eastern Chad, on the night of the 12th, injuring more than 200 people.

According to Chad News Agency, the fire occurred in the southern part of Abéché. Data from the provincial health department shows that a total of 206 injured people have been treated at various medical facilities, and 53 of them are still under medical observation.

The report states that Chad's Deputy Prime Minister Limouhamed has led government officials to the scene to assess the disaster, and has ordered local authorities to relocate all fuel depots within the city to the outskirts within 10 days.
