BLACKPINK member Rose and American superstar Bruno Mars’s catchy hit song “APT.” has taken the world by storm since its release last October. In just 10 months, the music video has racked up over 1.95 billion views, bringing huge ad revenue to Rose’s personal Youtube channel.
According to Korean business magazine Forbes’ published "Most Influential Celebrity Youtube Rankings", Rose’s Youtube channel—boasting 19.1 million subscribers—generated nearly HKD 62 million (about MYR 33.558 million) over the past year, making her the top-earning Korean star on the platform. She even surpassed BLACKPINK’s official channel on her own.
In second place is the Youtube channel run by South Korean beatbox group “BEATPELLA HOUSE,” with total earnings of HKD 45.7 million (about MYR 24.73 million). K-pop group BABYMONSTER claimed third with HKD 45.6 million (about MYR 24.68 million), narrowly beating BLACKPINK, who came fourth with revenue of HKD 45.48 million (about MYR 24.61 million).
