At 64, the ‘God of Songs’ Jacky Cheung has dominated the music industry for 40 years and repeatedly broken his own records. He is about to return to the Hong Kong Coliseum for 20 concerts, breaking Alan Tam’s 10-year record of 193 shows. With 203 shows, he has become the ‘Coliseum King’. When his ‘60+’ world tour hits its 300th show, he even gave out a special ‘valuable surprise’ to celebrate with fans.

Currently preparing for his concerts at the Coliseum, Jacky Cheung held 6 concerts in Singapore last month. The second of those was the 300th show of his ‘60+’ tour. For the occasion, he put in a lot of thought, with a giant “300” projected in the air above the stage, and limited edition “The 300th” streamers fired to the audience, with many fans scrambling to collect them as souvenirs. Jacky Cheung joked: “Keep it, maybe it’ll go up in value in the future, haha, who knows.”

Reflecting on a tour that has lasted over two years, he shared his feelings: “To me, it’s not really that big of an achievement, because as many of my friends know, every show is unique for me. But these 300 shows prove just how much I love singing, and how much I love standing on stage to perform for everyone.” After the show, the organizers presented him and his team with a four-tier cake for a celebration, as they gear up for the Hong Kong concerts.
