The Minister of the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Zaleha stated that the Kuala Lumpur City Hall is actively adjusting the licensing issuance process for the Federal Territory Ramadan Bazaar.
She mentioned that Kuala Lumpur City Hall is taking measures to ensure that only qualified vendors obtain the operating licenses.
"We are focusing on the maintenance and management of the bazaars, and I believe the issues regarding licenses and maintenance can be satisfactorily resolved."
Zaleha said this to reporters after participating in the car-free day event on Sunday.
She also mentioned that, up to now, no complaints have been received regarding the locations of the Ramadan bazaars.
"Vendors have been discussing various issues with Datuk Seri Mahmud, the Mayor."
Previously, Zaleha mentioned that starting this year, Kuala Lumpur City Hall would be fully responsible for the application and maintenance of business licenses for the Kuala Lumpur Ramadan Bazaar to ensure merchants have access to affordable rent and better management.
Regarding the car-free day event, she mentioned plans to extend the duration from a few hours to a full day.
"We are exploring the feasibility of extending the plan, and if positive feedback is received, we will consider expanding it."
