(Seria, 8th) The four hikers who got lost in Tasik Lama Leisure Park last Friday night were safely found by the fire and rescue personnel about 40 minutes later in the Wasai Labi-Labi area, approximately one kilometer from the parking lot.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, an emergency call was received at 7:02 pm that evening reporting that some people were lost in the forest area of Tasik Lama Leisure Park.
Upon receiving the call, the Seria Fire and Rescue Department immediately dispatched a fire truck with four firefighters led by Abu Firdauz to the scene.
After arriving, the firefighters immediately carried out a search and rescue operation in the area.
Thanks to the swift response and persistent efforts of the rescue team, the four lost hikers were found in the Wasai Labi-Labi area at around 7:40 pm that evening.
All four hikers were rescued safely and uninjured.
In view of this incident, the Forestry Department advises the public to always inform family or friends of their destination before entering leisure parks or forested areas.
Visitors are also reminded to choose safe and familiar routes to reduce the risk of getting lost.
