(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) Three Bruneian youth environmental leaders represented Brunei at the "ASEAN-Japan Youth Environmental Leaders Network" (AJYELN) program management training held in Jakarta, Indonesia from the 11th to the 13th of this month.
This training brought together youth environmental leaders from ASEAN countries, aiming to enhance participants' abilities in program management, leadership, as well as environmental advocacy planning and promotion through hands-on training.
The three youths representing Brunei in this training are Nabilla Azahra, Zuein Hailena, and Nur Zukina Amira. In addition, Mohammad Izzuddin also participated as the AJYELN mentor for the Brunei delegation.
The training opening ceremony was held on the 11th of this month at the ASEAN Secretariat, presided over by the Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Japan Centre, officially kicking off the three-day training event.
Through this training, the Brunei delegation not only had the opportunity to further improve their program management and leadership skills, but also exchanged experiences and shared ideas with youth environmental leaders from ASEAN countries, and explored topics related to environmental protection and sustainable development.
Participation in this event also provided Bruneian youths with a platform for discussion and exchange on regional environmental challenges, further expanding the cooperation network among youth leaders, and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN and Japanese youths in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable development.
