Najib Appeal for Additional Pardon Order, Growing Crowd; Political Figures Present

On Monday (January 6), as time passed, more and more supporters of former Prime Minister Najib, the Islamic Party, and the public gathered in front of, at the side entrance, and at the back entrance of the Palace of Justice regarding the appeal case for the high court's additional order. Especially in front of the Palace of Justice, although the police had blocked the front entrance, many people were already gathered.

According to journalists' estimation, over 500 people had gathered in front of the Palace of Justice.

Volunteers from the police reserves and Islamic Party volunteer corps were also present to help maintain order.

Journalists observed political figures present outside the Palace of Justice on Monday (6th), including UMNO Youth Chief Akmal, former UMNO leader Dato' Seri Khairuddin, Islamic Party Vice-President Idris, and Propaganda Chief Ahmad Fadhli.

Akmal and Ahmad Fadhli are respectively the state assemblyman for Durian Tunggal in Malacca and the member of parliament for Pasir Mas.

At around 10 am, PN Election Director Dato' Seri Muhammad Sanusi arrived outside the Palace of Justice.

The late former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Ghafar Baba's son, Dato' Tamrin Ghafar (from left), Islamic Party Vice-President Idris, Islamic Party Arau Member of Parliament Dato' Seri Shahidan, and PN Election Director Dato' Seri Muhammad Sanusi were also waiting outside the Palace of Justice for the outcome.

At 11:14 am, PN Election Director Dato' Seri Muhammad Sanusi was allowed by the police to enter the Palace of Justice.
