71-year-old action superstar Jackie Chan has been promoting his new movie "Ride On" lately. At the premiere on the 28th, he mentioned his son Jaycee Chan, revealing that every time his son called, he would scold him harshly. What used to be one phone call a year is now not even one call.
Jackie Chan shared that in the past, he would just scold his son whenever he saw him, never saying a kind word. Jaycee Chan would call to wish him a happy birthday, happy Father’s Day, or send his regards during holidays, but Jackie Chan would scold him thoroughly, thinking that rather than calling only on holidays, it would be better if his son called normally. In the end, he really did scold his son away, so now there are no calls at all. Jackie Chan reflected: "I was wrong; turns out, this isn’t the way to educate. I should have let him do things freely and let him create freely. Now, he’s scared when he sees me."
Speaking about Jaycee Chan, Jackie Chan also revealed in the interview that in the future, half of his inheritance will be donated to charity, and the other half will go to his wife Joan Lin.
