American entrepreneur and head of the Government Efficiency Department, Musk, announced on social media platform X on the 28th that his term as a "special government employee" has ended.
In his post, Musk stated: “As my term as a special government employee comes to an end, I want to thank President Trump for this opportunity.”
He noted that over time, the mission of the Government Efficiency Department will “become increasingly strong.”
According to White House officials, Musk's departure procedures will begin on the evening of the 28th local time.
Musk is considered a close ally of Trump. In the new US administration, he led the Government Efficiency Department, directly involved in significantly cutting federal spending and reducing federal employees. However, recently, the two have revealed differences on federal fiscal policy.
