On the 9th, Thailand’s Deputy Government Spokesperson Ratchada stated that in the first half of the year, Thailand’s exports continued to maintain a strong growth momentum, surpassing the level of the same period last year.
According to China News Service, from January to June 2026, Thailand’s total export value reached $196.7418 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%. In June 2026 alone, the export value was $34.6559 billion, up 20.8% year-on-year.
Among the products that contributed significantly to export growth in the first half of the year, electronic goods were the main driving force. Exports of computers, equipment, and components amounted to $18.78193 billion, a year-on-year increase of 47.9%, contributing 5.4 percentage points to the overall export growth. Following closely were facsimile machines, telephones, equipment, and components, with export value reaching $3.54737 billion, up 169.0% year-on-year. In addition, machinery and components, agricultural machinery, transformers, and copper and copper products also continued to maintain an upward trend.
Thai agricultural products and food also played an important role in exports, with fruit exports amounting to $4.02439 billion, an increase of 16.3%.
Ratchada stated that the overall situation in the first half of this year presented a positive trend for the Thai economy, indicating that Thailand has the potential to play an important role in the modern industrial supply chain.
