(Kuching, 31st) A Malay family experienced an "unforgettable" Eid when the floor of their house suddenly collapsed on the first day of Eid celebration.
This unusual accident occurred at around 11 am today at a wooden stilt house belonging to a family in Kampung Goebilt, Green Hill, resulting in four people getting injured inside the house.
According to one of the 65-year-old homeowner's family members, Jamel, he was sitting in a corner of the living room at the time with many family members visiting him to celebrate Eid together. There were a total of 10 people in the house, including his family members.
Suddenly, he said he heard a loud noise and saw the house floor completely collapse, with two of his grandchildren injured in the incident.
He also revealed that the house was built in 1983, which is now 42 years old.
After receiving the report, the fire department sent personnel to investigate and only left after confirming that the entire building was still safe to live in.
