(Sibu, 22nd) The Junior Chamber International Sibu will jointly organize the "2026 Malaysia Tourism Year" coloring competition with the Dudong Service Centre and Cohesion Prima Sdn Bhd, as one of the key projects of the "Sibu 2025 Countdown to 2026 — Explore Sibu · Taste Malaysia" event series.
The competition will be held on December 28 at the Azman Hashim Stadium, Sibu Jaya. Registration starts at 5:00 pm in the afternoon and is open to children aged 4 to 12. The registration fee for each participant is RM10.
The organizers state that this competition aims to align with the vision of "Visit Malaysia Year 2026" (VM2026), cultivating children's interest in artistic creation, creativity, and self-confidence from an early age.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the organizers pointed out: "The competition not only provides a space for children to showcase their creativity but also serves as an initial platform to instill patriotism and local tourism awareness in them, complementing the promotional goals of VM2026."
The competition is divided into three groups: Group A (4 to 6 years old), Group B (7 to 9 years old), and Group C (10 to 12 years old), each group limited to 100 participants.
Among them, Group B and Group C have cash prizes, with the top four winners receiving RM200, RM100, RM80, and RM50, respectively. Additionally, there are 30 Merit Awards and 30 Consolation Prizes.
For Group A, the top four cash prizes are RM100, RM80, RM50, and RM30 respectively, also with 30 Merit Awards and 30 Consolation Prizes.
