(United States, 12th) — US President Trump said in an interview with reporters at the White House on the afternoon of the 11th that the negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, may reach an agreement, or may not, but for him, "it makes no difference."

The US-Iran negotiations began on the 11th at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad. This is the highest-level "face-to-face" negotiation between the US and Iran since the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution.
