Under the theme "PANDA GO! Hong Kong Tour", a fireworks and drone show was held on Saturday night in the West Kowloon Cultural District, where 1,000 drones soared into the sky against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour, weaving a colorful and magnificent light picture.
This is the first time in Hong Kong that a drone show has been combined with a fireworks display, attracting a large number of citizens and tourists to watch.
Around 8:15 PM, accompanied by cheerful music, the thousand drones slowly ascended, quickly forming formations and hovering in the sky like stars lighting up the night of Hong Kong. A clock formed by drones with a giant panda made its debut, joining the audience in the countdown.
"Three, two, one!" Amidst the cheers of the audience, the 3D "panda" appeared, receiving repeated acclaim from the crowd. Following this, the exclusive Hong Kong IP "Panda Hong Kong Friends Club", inspired by the giant pandas of Ocean Park Hong Kong, made its appearance, with six adorable "pandas" waving hello to the audience.
Under the sparkling fireworks, the drone-formed giant panda transformed into a "tour guide", traversing the streets of Hong Kong. Landmarks such as the "Ding Ding Tram", neon signs, and the Clock Tower in Tsim Sha Tsui appeared one by one, leading citizens and tourists to appreciate the charm of Hong Kong.
The organizers stated that there are currently six giant pandas in Hong Kong, which is a joyous event for the city. They look forward to promoting city-wide celebrations to share the unique charm of giant pandas through related themed activities.
The performance lasted about 10 minutes, like a wonderful movie in the sky. Towards the end of the performance, various panda patterns appeared in the sky over Hong Kong. At the same time, brilliant fireworks cascaded like a waterfall, blooming in tandem with the drone show, creating a picturesque scene.
