With mainland China conducting military drills near Taiwan, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense stated on the 30th that from 6 a.m. on the 29th to 6 a.m. on the 30th, it detected 14 warships, 8 government vessels, and 130 sorties of military aircraft (including drones), of which 90 sorties crossed the median line, intruding into the northern, central, southwestern, and eastern airspace. The Taiwanese side has been closely monitoring and responding.
The PLA Eastern Theater Command announced on the 29th that it is conducting the "Joint Justice Mission-2025" exercise around Taiwan. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 30th, live-fire drills are being carried out in five designated maritime and air zones around Taiwan.
According to public information from Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense, during the "Joint Sword-2024B Exercise" on October 14th last year, 153 sorties of PLA military aircraft were detected, setting a new daily record.
The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the Taiwanese military utilizes mission aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems for close monitoring and response.
