BuddhaZine Facebook page updates the status of the 35 walking monks daily. The latest video on Saturday (10th) shows that after spending several months walking approximately 2,500 kilometers, the monks have finally arrived at the Borobudur Temple in Central Java, Indonesia.
According to the uploaded brief video, the monks and devotees are seen circumambulating the Borobudur Temple and chanting scriptures.
Additionally, according to a video uploaded by BuddhaZine, after arriving in Indonesia, the walking monks received receptions not only from local Chinese temples and Buddhist temples but also from Catholic churches.
When the group arrived in the city of Cirebon, Indonesia, they were received by the priests and nuns of the local St. Joseph Catholic Cathedral, with a priest holding the hand of one of the monks as they walked.

Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, with Muslims making up about 86% of the nation. As the walking monks passed through various areas, many Muslims lined the streets to welcome them, with some Muslim women even providing drinks for the monks.
These 35 walking monks started their journey from Bangkok, Thailand, traversed through Malaysia and Singapore, and entered Indonesia through Batam Island. Their journey spans approximately 2,500 kilometers, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Borobudur Temple in Central Java to participate in the Vesak festival on May 15th.
