(Bintanga, 11th) The Bintanga Fire and Rescue Department, in collaboration with the Sri Aman Hospital Blood Bank Unit, held a blood donation campaign today, continuing to demonstrate the spirit of community volunteerism and care for the community.
This event took place at the Bintanga Fire Station and attracted many enthusiastic voluntary blood donors.
The Chief of the Bintanga Fire and Rescue Department, Mahmudin Narudin, stated that the aim of this event was to raise community awareness of the importance of blood donation and to regard it as a humanitarian act of assistance.
“Every drop of blood is extremely precious and can save the lives of patients in critical condition,” he said during an interview.
Mahmudin also emphasized that continuously holding such activities helps cultivate a spirit of volunteer service among firefighters. Such initiatives can further strengthen the relationship between rescue teams and the community through direct participation in charity events.
He expressed gratitude to all the members of the public who came to donate blood as well as for the close cooperation of Sri Aman Hospital, which ensured the smooth running of the event.
“I also hope that more community members will participate in future blood donation events to ensure sufficient national blood supplies,” he said.
