(Bandar Seri Begawan, 2nd) The Public Works Department has issued the latest update stating that emergency water pipe repair works for Phase 7 of the Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant are still ongoing. Residents affected by water cuts may collect water from temporary water taps and blue water tanks at designated locations.
The repair works began at 9 pm on June 24. Affected areas include the RPN Rimba National Housing Scheme, parts of Kampong Sungai Akar, Berakas Camp, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Defence Academy, parts of Tanah Jambu, Salambigar, Meragang, and the surrounding areas.
Locations where blue water tanks are set up include Jalan Ambin, Jalan Basung, Jalan Lasuk, and Jalan Takiding in RPN Rimba National Housing Scheme, as well as the RPN Rimba Indoor Futsal Court parking lot.
Other tank locations include the Kampong Lambak Kiri STKRJ Mosque, Meragang National Housing Scheme, and Taman Riadah PN Meragang and Jalan Binglu Tengah at PN Tanah Jambu in the Tanah Jambu National Housing Scheme.
In addition, several locations in the South Lambak National Housing Scheme have blue water tanks set up, including Jalan 77 near the community hall, the open space in front of Lambak Kanan Mosque, near the Lambak Kanan Community Hall at Jalan 1, as well as Jalan 31, Jalan 11, Jalan 64, and Jalan 3.
For temporary water taps, they are set up at the vacant lot opposite Simpang 528, Kampong Kapok, Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong, as well as opposite the entrance to Berakas Health Centre and near the Lambak Kanan Community Hall.
