Indefinite Stay in Southern Lebanon Security Buffer Zone
Israeli Defense Minister Katz made a statement on the 15th saying that Israel will remain indefinitely in the security buffer zone it controls in southern Lebanon. This policy also applies to the security buffer zones established by Israel in Syria and Gaza.
He stated that no matter what pressure Israel faces, it will not withdraw troops from these areas, and that Israel will continue clearing residents from these zones and dismantling infrastructure and buildings used by armed personnel.
