Trump: Putin and Zelensky Willing to Take Action to Resolve Ukraine Crisis

On the 15th, during the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, U.S. President Trump stated that he had spoken separately with Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky the previous day, and that both were willing to take action to resolve the Ukraine crisis.

He said his conversations with the Russian and Ukrainian leaders were very good and that he believes "we can do something" to resolve the Ukraine crisis, as both leaders are open to it.

The details of the U.S.-Iran agreement will be announced after signing on the 19th

Trump also pointed out that the contents of the U.S.-Iran agreement would be made public after it is officially signed on the 19th.

He stated that after the United States and Iran reach an agreement to end the Middle East war, the Strait of Hormuz will be "fully open" on the 19th.

Regarding the proposal from the UK and France to send a joint naval force to participate in escort operations in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said that reopening navigation in the Strait of Hormuz does not require too much (external) assistance.

The Group of Seven consists of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Japan. France is this year's rotating G7 presidency. This year's G7 summit is being held in Évian-les-Bains, France, from the 15th to the 17th.
