(Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th) To commemorate the 55th anniversary of its founding, the board of directors of the Bandar Seri Begawan Guang Hui Mutual Society has decided to hold a "55th Anniversary Celebration and 2025 Annual Senior Citizens' Gala Night" on November 15 (Saturday) at the Hua He Banquet Hall in Hua He Department Store Building on Mura Road.
The organizing committee is jointly led by Chairman Yap Tian Fook, Deputy Chairman Wong Ka Seng, and Vice Chairman Lau Chih Hong. Preparations are currently in full swing and overall progress is smooth.
The society has invited all its advisors (including honorary advisors, legal advisors, and affairs advisors), all Chinese community organizations in Bandar Seri Begawan, eight Chinese schools nationwide, and representatives of relevant units to attend the grand event and celebrate together.
Meanwhile, the gala has also invited Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo, Chinese community leader Pehin Dato Wu Jingjin, Member of Parliament Lau Hiaw Teck, and Chinese Marriage Registrar Lim Han Chiong as distinguished guests.
The celebration will commence at 7:00 PM and feature a rich and colorful program, including the 55th anniversary opening ceremony, keynote speeches by Society Chairman Yap Tian Fook and Ambassador Xiao Jianguo, punctuality prize draw, cutting of the 55th anniversary celebration cake, presentation of Chinese School Education Development Fund, presentation of the 55th anniversary logo design competition award, long-term service awards for board members, long-term service awards for the Recreation Committee, on-site prizes for the three eldest participants, the awarding of red packets and gifts to 102 seniors, singing and dance performances, and lucky draw segments.
