(Miri, 1st) Sarawak Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, pointed out that the Miri Divisional Office and the administrative teams of each district have long demonstrated a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and efficiency. Not only have they strictly adhered to principles in anti-corruption promotion, but they have also played a key role in combating epidemics, dealing with disasters, and promoting development projects.

He said this in his speech last night at the 2026 Miri Division Administrative Personnel Awards Dinner organized by the Miri Divisional Office at the Marriott Hotel. During the event, the Best Employee Awards were also presented, with a total of 21 people receiving recognition.

He said the state government attaches great importance to the integrity and honesty of the public service system, strengthening anti-corruption awareness through various mechanisms and systems to ensure transparency and accountability in public administration. The Miri Division covers a vast area about the size of Pahang, encompassing five districts. Administrative and development tasks are challenging, requiring civil servants to handle urban, inland, and offshore matters simultaneously, facing many difficulties at work.
