Hakka Women's Group Spreads New Year Warmth: Visiting Elderly Home with Song and Dance

(Miri, 1st) In conjunction with the upcoming Lunar New Year, the Miri Hakka Association Women's Group visited the Miri Home for the Elderly yesterday morning (January 31) to carry out a New Year charity visit, bringing warmth, care, and festive blessings to the elders in the home.

The event started at 10am, led by Women's Group Director Yang Qiu Lu. The group members participated enthusiastically, distributing red packets and gifts to the elders, and specially prepared song and dance performances to liven up the occasion, celebrating the festival together with the residents. The atmosphere at the scene was warm and lively, filled with laughter, and the elders were all beaming with joy and emotion.

The ladies of the Women's Group also warmly extended New Year wishes to the elders, wishing everyone a happy, healthy, safe and smooth Year of the Horse. Through their companionship and interaction, they enabled the elders to feel the care of the community and the warmth of the festival.

Miri Hakka Association Women's Group Director Yang Qiu Lu said that, with the joint efforts and enthusiastic participation of all the ladies, the activity was completed successfully, fully embodying the group's longstanding commitment to caring for vulnerable groups and serving the community.
