(Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th) — A company has been fined by the authorities under the 2018 Town and Country Planning (Composition of Offences) Regulations for failing to comply with planning permit conditions and illegally storing items in a parking lot.
The Town and Country Planning Department pointed out that this behavior not only arbitrarily altered the purpose of the commercial premises and the number of parking spaces, but also negatively affected the aesthetics of the surrounding environment.
It is understood that the violation was discovered during a clean-up inspection operation (OPKEMAS) carried out by the department in Brunei-Muara District.
The authorities remind the public, especially business operators and owners of commercial and industrial buildings, to strictly adhere to planning regulations in order to ensure the tidiness, aesthetics, and safety of the country’s commercial and industrial areas.
