Chinese male star Cai Xukun attended a brand endorsement event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on Thursday (May 21). During the event, an unknown woman broke through security, rushed onto the stage, and forcibly hugged Cai Xukun, shouting, “I miss you so much.” She was promptly removed by two security guards. Cai Xukun remained calm and even reminded the security to “take it slow” and said “it’s okay,” winning wide praise for his reaction.
Footage captured by other fans at the scene showed a woman in a pink dress suddenly rushing onto the stage and reaching out to hug Cai Xukun. Security immediately intervened to pull her away, but the woman clung tightly to Cai Xukun’s clothes, causing him to stumble several steps before they were separated, while other fans in the audience gasped in shock.
Throughout the incident, Cai Xukun maintained his composure and told the host that he was fine. He also reminded the security staff to be gentle while escorting the woman away.
According to Chinese media reports, the organizer later issued an apology statement, saying that a work oversight had led to an unrelated person intruding and colliding with Cai Xukun. They expressed deep regret and self-blame for the incident. The organizer thanked Cai Xukun for his professionalism and understanding, stating, “We extend our most sincere apologies to Mr. Cai Xukun and his team, as well as to all the friends who care for and support him.” They also stated they would cooperate with relevant investigations, hold the security and event execution companies accountable, and take steps to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
