(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) The Brunei-Muara District Office, through its Licensing and Enforcement Department, received a complaint about illegal dumping of garbage at the Padang Sibongkok Agricultural Development Area (KKP).
After investigation, it was found that a company had violated Chapter 30 of the regulations.
The company involved is Nooreen Contractor, which was fined $2,000 for violating Section 12(1)(f)(ii) of the Act. The fine is due on 17 August 2026.
The company has been ordered to pay the fine within seven days. If payment is overdue, legal action will be taken. This means that upon conviction, the company may face a maximum fine of $30,000 or up to 12 months' imprisonment, or both.
