The Year of the Horse is approaching, and Astro has once again teamed up with Multimedia to produce the annual festive album All Right Coo Dada, continuing years of celebratory tradition. This year’s album brings together more than 60 artistes to celebrate Chinese New Year, with the most eye-catching being the “good fortune” duo of Wen Huiyin and Yun Meixin, both performing while pregnant, doubling the festive joy. Coincidentally, the MV filming location was the same venue where Wen Huiyin held her wedding last year; she laughed and said, "This really is a blessed place!"
All Right Coo Dada is once again helmed by gold-medal producer Deng Zhizhang, with a concept centered on "traveling through time." The three brand new festive songs weave together a joyful storyline set in the ancient past, present, and future. Participating artistes including Xiao Huimin, Lin Zhenqian, Zhuang Wenjie, Huang Yifei, Wen Huiyin, Zeng Jieyu, Chen Weizhi, Xiao Weiwei, Lai Yuhan, Ani, Zeng Yaozu, Lin Xiaoqian, and Huang Chengxi took the chance to speak to the media on the 15th during a break, sharing fun filming anecdotes.
Wen Huiyin joked, “I made a very bold attempt this year, which is getting pregnant.” She revealed that at her wedding last year, she sincerely prayed to heaven for a child, and now her wish has come true. "Coming back to the old place with my baby this year feels extra special." She also quipped: "This place is absolutely blessed!" and even teased that being pregnant on set came with "special privileges"—"The parking spot is closest, and Meixin as well as I can sit while singing!" prompting everyone to joke, "Those with good news are the most powerful!"
Aside from Wen Huiyin and Yun Meixin appearing with baby bumps, artistes like Chen Weizhi, Xiao Weiwei, Zeng Yaozu, Wu Jiaren, Yan Weien, Yin Huifen, Li Haochang, and Huang Mingde also brought their children to participate. Altogether, 11 celebrity children graced the stage together, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Chen Weizhi joked, “Brought all the little monsters—hope the director can't stand it and calls wrap early!”
Zeng Jieyu, who joined filming again after a 5-year gap, laughed: “After having a child and coming back, I found out my stamina is still great!” This time, she took on a “futuristic look,” and was teased by Xiao Huimin, who said “the more beautiful ones get the future look,” while everyone quipped that the “unclassifiable” Lai Yuhan could only be put in the ancient costume group. Lai Yuhan joked, “First time wearing ancient costume, and with the long hair it looked feminine, so the stylist added a mustache, but then I looked like I had a hormone imbalance!” Huang Chengxi further teased him as “Dongfang Bubai,” causing everyone to burst out laughing.
The MV also included horseback riding scenes, with everyone joking that the four artistes chosen were “carefully selected.” Xiao Weiwei, specially appointed to ride, admitted it was a big challenge for her, revealing that she was nearly thrown off the horse during filming. She joked: “Before the Year of the Horse starts, I already got a taste of ‘horsepower’.”
News anchor Zhuang Wenjie has participated in the festive album for 12 years, but this year was upgraded for the first time to MV male lead, prompting banter from his colleagues: “Stand on the stage long enough and you’ll naturally become the lead!” When teased about challenging Huang Yifei for the spotlight, Huang Yifei confidently replied: “Wherever I stand, that’s the center!”
