On the 3rd, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia was hit by a drone attack, resulting in a fire.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, based on initial assessment, the US embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones. The attack triggered a small fire and resulted in minor material damage to the building.
Eyewitnesses told AFP that thick smoke was seen coming from the US diplomatic mission building.
An anonymous Saudi military source told AFP that the country’s air defense system intercepted four drones targeting Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter during the attack.
After the incident, the US embassy issued a "shelter in place" notice to citizens located in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran.
